What’s Classier Than a Cadillac?
Our Story
Since 1985, we’ve proudly called Greensboro home after moving from Pittsburgh and Charlotte. Over the years, we've become deeply rooted in this vibrant community, embracing its growth and transformation while contributing to its rich history. Being a part of the Greensboro family has allowed us to build lasting relationships, grow our business, and share in the city’s unique blend of Southern charm and urban energy. Our journey here has shaped who we are today, and we are honored to continue growing and thriving alongside this remarkable city.
We found our love of the Downtown Greensboro community in 1995, when we carefully brought an abandoned 1920 Studebaker building back to life as custom office loft spaces. Then for many years, Jay and his brother, Tom, worked with established restaurant brands, and worked on restaurant design projects. These projects brought them to cities all over the United States, many of which meant working on urban renewal projects that required some very different thinking.
When we had the opportunity to purchase and renovate the 1921 Cadillac dealership, we embraced the challenge. Over the course of ten years, we meticulously transformed this space. We cleared out decades of accumulation and handcrafted nearly every fixture and detail. Countless days and nights were spent dreaming, designing, measuring, hauling, welding, and building—each step infused with vision and passion. Every inch of the space reflects thoughtful craftsmanship, from custom lighting to bespoke finishes. The result is not just a venue, but a one-of-a-kind experience, where every element tells a story of dedication, creativity, and attention to detail. It’s a space unlike any other, designed to inspire unforgettable moments.
Our journey in the wedding industry has brought us so much joy, and we truly cherish the opportunity to meet so many wonderful couples and talented vendors along the way. Our team feels like family, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our Cadillac family as well!

Revived & Reimagined
The renovation project began in 2007 and The Cadillac Service Garage was finally opened ten years later, in March of 2017. Every square foot of the Historical building has been thoughtfully appointed for the purpose of gathering and celebrating, with all of the modern-day amenities and comforts. We added the lounges, a catering kitchen, and built-in bars to make the space function as a wedding venue. Since the central space was built to service the Cadillacs of the day, the Garage has no posts or columns, and the 30-foot hardwood ceilings span a cathedral-like photographic venue. We’ve integrated carefully designed acoustic features to preserve the venue’s industrial aesthetic while ensuring an enjoyable experience for your guests.
In the 1960s, Lee Petty’s Oldsmobile Racing Team was sponsored by Black Cadillac Olds and they had the idea to paint the name of their sponsor on the sides of the cars they drove in the brand new racing concept they named Nascar, headquartered on Downtown Greensboro’s Elm Street. Who would have guessed that our venue might be the very first Nascar sponsor?
“This was the perfect venue for our wedding. We were looking for an industrial, chic and rustic place. This was it plus the historic aspect added to the overall theme.”
